Lloyd, here's the basic breakdown on the 2 Wordpress options. Wordpress.com is an online blog service that will allow you to set-up a blog on their server. They maintain all the software that runs the blog and control what options are available for templates and plugins.

Wordpress.org is a non-profit site where you can download the software that runs a Wordpress blog. You download the software, install it on your own server, and choose the templates and plugins you want to use (or create your own custom ones.)

My template ONLY works with a Wordpress blog hosted on your own server. You must be able to upload files to your server to install it.

Hope that clarifies things a little,

Andrew

I'm interested in your WP Sales Page product

I've used Blogger for a long time but never Wordpress.

Does your product work with Wordpress.com or Wordpress.org? I'm confused about the two versions.

thanks

Rick, thanks for your WP SalesPage purchase (and the recommendations - I hope you joined our affiliate program at E-Junkie.com and used your referral link.)

The pop-up on the e-book secrets site was created using the You Can't Block This pop-up code generating software. I used a Wordpress plugin to stick the code into the header of the page.

But, I'm in the process of switching over to a new program called Advanced DHTML Popups which gives me much more refined options including the ability to create footer popups and exit popups. Much more versatile (and a bit more expensive and complicated) and worth making the switch in my book.

If you want a simple plugin based solution, I've come across 2 that are inexpensive, easy to use, and effective. The first is called Awesome Optin and the other is called Awesome Slider (click the link to download and try out a free version first - looks very good to me!)

Hope that helps,

WP-SalesPage uses the standard Wordpress interface to enter the sales copy for the page (that's the whole point of it.)

The free salespage template on this page is just a basic HTML file. It does not connect to Wordpress in any way and can be edited with any HTML editing software - I recommend the Free program Kompozer (it is what I use.)

I may have misunderstood your question. If so, please let me know and I'll do my best to clarify.

Kim, this case study is a case study done by my friend (and fellow E1KaD Member) Michael Gunn. Michael kindly gave me permission to reprint it here given how well it tied in to the Product Launch Formula related content I have posted. I can't directly answer your question.

Try asking Michael directly over on his Niche Warfare Site. You may have to jog his memory a bit, but he's very generous to fellow marketers.

That said, I've known Michael to not worry heavily about locking down squeeze pages. My guess is that he focused more on getting this offer up and running fast to capture the momentum of the market rather than get bogged down in the mechanics of trying to secure the video download pages. Just a guess on my part.

I agree with you Andrew, too often people look for the holy grail one click solution. That's why there is such a high failure rate in this industry. It's a real learning experience that people need to take. Your WP-SalesPage template is pretty awesome. Saves a bunch of time :)
